Recruitment for ESA Directors

Process Underway

The ESA Implementation Team (ESAIT) has commenced the process of recruitment for ESA Directors.

This follows consultation on the Recruitment, Redeployment and Voluntary Severance (RRVS) Strategy for Senior Management in ESA and agreement from the Department of Education on the Director level structure for ESA.

ESAIT is seeking to appoint 7 Directors:

  • Director of Children and Young People's Services
  • Director of Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment
  • Director of Education Quality and Standards
  • Director of Finance and ICT
  • Director of Human Resources and Workforce Development
  • Director of Operational Services
  • Director of Strategic Planning


Applications are invited from individuals within the Education Sector organisations affected by the Review of Pubic Administration who meet the essential criteria for the posts.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an assessment centre followed by a panel interview for candidates in the final selection.

It is anticipated that Directors will be appointed by mid September 2009.
